A triumphant victory for The Loretto softball Team's 1st game

on . Posted in Athletics News

A big congratulations goes out to the Varsity softball team for winning their first game against Clint High School last week with a whopping score of  12 to 9.
This year we have many new faces and they need to be praised for their efforts.  Most of the girls on the team are freshman and sophomores with  only 4 seniors out of a team of 15.  Our seniors and veteran sophomores are good examples for our new younger girls and are appreciated greatly.  Keep up the good work.

Notebooks for Netbooks

In 1923, it was an educational necessity to come to school with a #2 pencil and composition notebook. Today, teachers grade assignments, assign homework, teach lessons, and map out their lesson plans all on a computer. It has become a necessity for students to have technology in the classroom as well as outside of the classroom. Netbooks and iPads have become an educational tool just as necessary as a pencil and paper. For this reason we aim to be at the top of the academic echelon by providing such educational tools for our students. With every donation toward a netbook we will in return thank you with a 90-year, commemorative notebook.

Though we are teaching in a technological world, we know that traditional educational practices passed on by the Sisters of Loretto still hold true. Your gift continues to help us educate young scholars in achieving academic excellence and becoming leaders through faith, community, justice and respect.
